Child Psychology Early Years



Study of children in their early years is called developmental psychology and this can occur starting from the early years top much later in life. Child psychology in the development cycle can cover phases of infancy to adolescent years.
It includes the study of several key facets like motor skills, problem solving capabilities, social behavioral skills, language development, emotional development and confidence.
Children in their developmental years are forming a strong identity and also their own concepts on life and people. In the initial years of development, a bigger emphasis is laid upon the physical and motor skills of the child. Below the age of 6 children are not completely developed emotionally and it is only their starting years for emotional development. The most important developmental aspects revolve around the cognitive, social and motor skills.
Motor skills in children can be further divides into visual motor skills and also the relation ship between the visual motor skills and the limbs motor skills. A child should be able to show well coordinated movements of hands, legs and eyes. They are even gauged upon their athletic abilities.  A child who shows additional aggression and also suffers from depression can be evaluated through child psychology and a lot of findings are based on their gross motor skills.
There has been a lot of achievement in the field of child psychology and experts believe that they can help children to a greater magnitude if the problems are identified early in life. Observation of behavior pattern and comparing the child to the development chart is of utmost important in a child’s growing up years.
